Putin to meet with leaders of United Russia’s electoral list – Politics
MOSCOW, September 27. / TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday will have a videoconference with the leaders of the electoral list of the United Russia party. Among them are Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, chief physician of the city clinical hospital No. 40 in Moscow Kommunarka Denis Protsenko, co-chairman of the central headquarters of the All-Russian Popular Front Yelena Shmeleva and children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova.
Presumably, during the conversation on Monday, it will be decided which of the “five” will take parliamentary mandates and go to work in the State Duma. Until now, none of the leaders of the United Russia electoral list has officially announced their decision.
As the deputy secretary of the General Council of United Russia Sergei Perminov explained to TASS, decisions on the distribution of mandates must be made within five days of the announcement of the results of the campaign. The Central Election Commission of Russia on September 24 approved the results of the elections to the State Duma.
What was said about the plans of the “five” after the elections
As the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov explained to reporters earlier, each of the five members will independently decide on their future career: “This is a personal decision of those who participate in the process. The whole procedure is spelled out in the law.”
The Kremlin spokesman also does not know whether Lavrov and Shoigu will take the deputy mandates specifically. At the same time, the spokesman added that Putin constantly and constantly communicates on work matters with the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense. In addition, the president at the beginning of September on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum admitted that he would be sorry to let Lavrov and Shoigu go to the State Duma.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, commenting on the possible transition to the category, note that he does not want to get ahead of himself in the matter of his plans. He also said that he saw no reason to change the foreign policy of the Russian Federation after the elections to the State Duma. The head of the Ministry of Defense has so far refrained from public statements about his plans.
The previous time, the President of the Russian Federation spoke with a representative of United Russia on August 22. The meeting then took place in person. On it, Putin, in particular, extends a lump sum this year to pay 10 thousand rubles to pensioners and 15 thousand rubles to the military. Later, the head of state signed relevant decrees. In addition, on August 24, Putin spoke at the second stage of the United Russia congress.
Putin’s communication with the leaders of the parties that entered the Duma
On September 25, Putin held a general meeting by video link with the leaders of all parties that took place in parliament. It was attended by the chairman of United Russia Dmitry Medvedev, the leaders of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Liberal Democratic Party Gennady Zyuganov and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of the Spravoorussians Sergei Mironov, the chairman of the New People party Alexei Nechaev and several of their party members, as well as the speaker of the State Duma of the seventh convocation Vyacheslav Volodin ( United Russia), head of the Russian administration Anton Vaino and his first deputy president Sergei Kiriyenko.
During the conversation, the president said that the elections were held openly, in strict accordance with the law and with a high turnout, and the growth in the number of Duma factions following their results speaks of the development of democracy in the country. Thus, they held their five parties: the traditional four (United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party and A Just Russia – For the Truth) and the debutant of the federal elections – the New People party, formed only last year.
For those who argue about electronic voting, the head of state recalled that technical progress cannot be stopped, United Russia – that the leading political force should come to terms with a special company, and all those present, regardless of party affiliation, must fulfill their election promises. Putin also commented on legislative and other initiatives on various topics expressed by the participants in the meeting.
On elections to the State Duma
Elections to the State Duma of the eighth convocation were held in the Russian Federation from 17 to 19 September. The lower house of Russia is elected for five years according to a mixed system: 225 deputies – according to party lists, 225 – in single-mandate constituencies.
In total, taking into account the party lists and single-mandate constituencies, “United Russia” received 324 mandates, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 57, “Fair Russia – For Truth” – 27, LDPR – 21, “New People” – 13, “Rodina”, “Civil Platform” “, Party of Growth – one mandate each, five mandates – self-nominated candidates.
