The delegation of the Republic of Belarus in the government with Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin and the general director of USC JSC Alexei Rakhmanov visited the production site of Krasnoye Sormovo Plant PJSC (part of USC). During the working visit, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, including in the field of building a navy and developing import substitution, the corporation’s press service reports.

The delegation members assessed the capabilities of manufacturing enterprises and got acquainted with the possibility of checking the projects of the Krasnoye Sormovo plant.

Among them are the passenger liner of the PV300 project Mustai Karim, which became the first after a 60-year break built in a domestic cruise liner, tankers of the RST27M project, the first series of dredging vessels of the TSHD1000 project in modern Russia and the crab-processor of the KSP01 project Vaygach. Particular attention was paid to the RSD59 series of dry-cargo ships and the prospects for the construction of residential ships at Krasny Sormovo.

“There is a high share of the manufacturing industry in the Nizhny Novgorod region. We are interested in large-scale control of industrial enterprises of the Republic with the regions. We are ready to discuss potential projects within the framework of the Business Cooperation Council in order to eventually expand cooperation,” said Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko.
