A problem in Prague and Vysočina
Complications began to appear already on Wednesday morning and continued in the evening. There is a layer of snow on the Prague circuit, the road is difficult to pass. The exit to the D5 motorway from the Prague Ring Road to Pilsen is blocked by trucks, which cannot climb a slight hill in the approach.
“In connection with a short-term strong gust of wind in Prague, we intervened in three cases of fallen trees. For example, in Hostivar, we avoided a tree that fell on a parked car,” the Prague fire department reported on Twitter.
Vysočina was also plagued by snow. The D1 highway in the Vysočina was blocked today around 22:00 by trucks stuck after the previous heavy snowfall. The state Directorate of Roads and Highways of the Czech Republic (ŘSD) announced. D1 is blocked by trucks at the 99th kilometer in the direction of Prague according to the ŘSD. Columns are forming there. Traffic was also blocked on the 76th kilometer of the D1 in the same direction, but it was unblocked in 23 hours.
However, the highway was closed again due to snow at the 91st kilometer in the direction of Brno. According to the ŘSD, the arrival of spreaders is expected in the Brno section. They then have the section between exits 90 Humpolec and 104 Větrný Jeníkov to dissolve.
