ALL ANTWERP: “This is an open city, as long as you do what you do behind closed doors” (Antwerp)
Every weekday our reporter and photographer choose a casual passerby from the street for a nice conversation. Because everyone has a story. Especially in Antwerp. Today: Aurora Paguay (34).

“What I do? I make great graffitis. Sometimes I go to Park Spoor Noord and then I paint forty square meters in one night. I learned to work at the Kringwinkel, but that was not a great success. Seven weeks before the end of my contract I became certain. Now I am a visual merchandiser. And I like cheese snacks.”
“I started with graffiti about ten years ago. I graduated from Artesis Hogeschool. Graphic design. But I couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted to move with my move instead of cramps to get behind my computer. I then went to live in Brussels for a while, but in corona time I moved here again.”
“Since then I lived with my friendthen met my ex-housemate from ten years ago and then with the best friend of mine ex boyfriend. I mean: it is Antwerp, this is an open city, as long as you do what you do behind closed doors.”
“Originally I am from Liège, but I don’t want to leave here anymore. Also because my cats of Antwerp will be kept. I notice that in everything. I take everywhere. Also on the bike. Then I put a hat over their ears – otherwise they get an infection – and cycle around with them in my bicycle basket. They love that.”
