Welcome, Misha. Slavia rejected him, now the Croat has shown himself in Baník
Three players from Baník in Zlín started under coach Pavel Hapal in the league’s starting line-up for the first time. Stopper David Lischka got off to a great start, but his impression was spoiled by a god-like play. Striker Jiří Klíma scored a goal, he accomplished the task. He was assisted by midfielder Robert Miškovič, for whom it was the first “Canadian” point in F:L. The Croat with the nickname “Miško” performed the best since arriving in the Czech Republic.
The German “espezetka” of the car parked in Bazale reminds of his youth and football beginnings in Ingolstadt, but otherwise Robert Miškovič is a Croat through and through. However, his career also really developed in his parents’ homeland.
“He was a fantastic, completely different player in Istra. He dominated. Technically unrivaled, but more ticklish towards the back,” recalled a scout of several well-known foreign clubs behind the fence of the training ground in Belek, Turkey, about Mišković’s last engagement.
Due to a contract amendment, the headhunter did not wish to be named, but I believe he had a huge overview. “I practically only go to the Balkans because it’s a very interesting market,” he added in another breath.
Last August, Baník also took the same route when they bought Miškovič from Pula, although according to information from the newspaper Sport and the website iSport.cz, data analysts were not very optimistic about this transfer.
Slavia came to the same opinion, as the 23-year-old midfielder was offered before Slezany. No, for the modern football coach Jindřich Trpišovský, his movement without the ball, switching, combativeness and overall intensity are insufficient, they evaluated each other in Eden.
Honestly, for a long time, Miškovič’s speech was not enough not only for the European level of the “stitched”, but also for the Ostrava one. He fell – but in the worse sense of the word – into the gray. You notice the superior first touch and fond caress of the balloon, however without efficiency. And that includes the third-league B.
On the other hand, Miškovič got the only league chance from the beginning in September at the ground of Hradec Králové (0:0), one of the strongest teams in the competition, moreover in a situation when FCB was drowning in crisis and his then coach Pavel Vrba was insane after every mistake he started and “increased” the confidence of the players, which did not make his adaptation much easier together with the below-average training units…
But they did not panic in Baník and bet on patience. They didn’t want to mess up an investment of several million, they knew that he would need at least one preparatory period for comfort and better acclimatization. They still believed him. However, Mišković’s side was not the same in Turkey either, the productive David Buchta overshadowed him and the teenager Matěj Šín was no worse either.
His presence in the base against Zlín was so surprising. “He’s a header,” Hapal mentioned one of the reasons for the choice and reminded Miškovič’s 190 centimeters or the dangerous standards of the home team.
His premiere performance in the base, especially in defense and in the fights, was not without mistakes, but the tactical move of the implementation team worked. Miškovič, for Jiří Klím’s only goal from the air, didn’t mess up (92% pass success rate!), he gave the advantage supportively. He was felt. He hinted at potential and hope.
Only the ending… “I regret his two hundred percent chances,” the head of the bench regretted the unconverted tutus. Will Mišković repay the trust on Sunday in Teplice? “Síňas is also ready,” Hapal winked.
