Basketball Federation of Ukraine threatened to boycott the selection for the Olympics because of the Russians
The Ukrainian federation warned FIBA that it could start calling for “the whole civilized world” to boycott the Games in Paris

The Basketball Federation of Ukraine announced on its official website that, in accordance with a letter from the International Federation (FIBA), that the board is taking “decisive steps” to prevent athletes from Russia and Belarus from competing until the end of special operations.
“In the event of the emergence of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine, for itself the right to participate in all possible competitions within the framework of the Olympic Games, as well as to call on the entire civilized world to boycott the Olympics,” the statement says.
Former member of the Verkhovna Rada, Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Zhan Beleniuk reportedthat the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) on February 3 will discuss the boycott of the Games in Paris due to the possible participation of athletes from Russia.
