Russia cannot determine the nuclear status, as this is in accordance with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. About it in an interview RIA News Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov said.
“As for the question of the status of the hypothetically recognized status of the DPRK, I would like to confirm that Russia is in any way committed to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, according to the status of nuclear weapons belonging only to the full country of the “five””. He also added that Moscow participated in all interested parties in resolving the situation around the Korean Peninsula and preventing nuclear escalation. In his opinion, the only way to avoid a large-scale conflict in Northeast Asia is the basis of peace with security guarantees for all parties.
