Pavel dominated in Prague, Babiš in Bruntál. Chanov reports record attendance
Miloš Zeman’s successor at Hrad will be Petr Pavel, who won the presidential election with more than 58 percent of the vote. In a number of regions, he had even higher support. The second candidate, Andrej Babiš (ANO), also got over 60 percent in some districts. Pavel enjoyed dominant voters abroad as well, where he won over 95 percent of the vote.
A record number of voters will vote before the election of the new president of the Czech Republic. The winner was retired general Petr Pavel. He won more than 58 percent of the vote. At the same time, he received over 60 percent of the votes in a number of districts. In Prague and the districts of Prague-východ and Prague-západ, it even achieved a result exceeding 73 percent.
High voter support framed Petr Pavel’s victory also in the Semily district (65.96%), Jabloneck (62.34%) and Trutnovsk (62.28%). He then celebrated an enormous victory abroad, where he won the vote of 95.21 percent of voters.

The second candidate, deputy Andrej Babiš, did not appeal to voters abroad. In the first round, he won only in Uzbekistan and Kuwait. In the second, he came closest to winning in Russia, where he received exactly 50 percent of the vote.
Andrej Babiš won over 60 percent of the votes in only two districts. He won 61.69 percent of the votes in the Karviná district and 60.34 percent in the Bruntál district. The 20th electoral district in Most recorded a record turnout. 37.82 percent of voters turned out for the elections in the Chanov housing estate.
Only four voters gave their vote to Petr Pavlo, the remaining 98.40 percent of the votes belonged to Andrej Babiš. With 93.71 percent, he won in the electoral district even in the first round, when the turnout was 24.16%. However, it was also very high, as only 11.4 percent of possible voters decided in the last presidential election between Senator Jiří Drahoš and President Miloš Zeman.
