The border authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine announced on Saturday that, for 24 hours, the movement of high-tonnage vehicles on the “Reni-Odessa” route is prohibited, due to unfavorable weather conditions and heavy snowfall.
“Authorities from the Republic of Moldova have decided not to allow trucks from Romania to Ukraine into the country. For this reason, the movement of trucks through PTF Galați-rutier and PTF Isaccea is restricted until the return to normal weather conditions and the reopening of traffic in neighboring states.“, said the Romanian Border Police on Saturday.
Car traffic runs normally through PTF Galati road and PTF Isaccea, but traffic police ask those who transit the points to take into account possible situations caused by unfavorable weather conditions that may make it difficult for them to travel.

The border guards remind that Heavy snow and blizzard codes are in effect in several counties across the country.
