Under contract until 2026
But his integration has been complicated, with 18 games and three goals last season in the Lyon jersey, ten games and none this season. Faivre is under contract with OL until June 2026. In a press release, OL notes that he had been part of the club’s sports management of his wish to relaunch during the second part of the season.
A few days ago, his coach Laurent Blanc had already confirmed the midfielder’s desire to leave. “Romain Faivre wants to leave, you know that. Don’t be surprised. He wants to leave, he’s not happy in Lyon. But it’s been going on for more than three months, had launched the Lyonnais coach in front of the press. It’s up to both parties to figure things out. I like this player, I tried to raise but there are also other players, you can’t just focus on one player. […] It’s hard because there is a contract and the club have bet a lot on him. You have to have solutions that are happy with everyone and it’s not that easy.”
