TC Prague: New manuals and successful involvement in EU programs
The National Information Center for European Research (NICER) of the Technology Center has prepared a new monthly overview of news from the EU framework programs – H2020 and Horizon Europe. Read about MSCA’s new project proposal writing guides or the success of a leader in drone delivery services.
The national contacts for these programs remind you of the possibility to participate in the public consultation to evaluate the H2020 and Horizon Europe programs. The newsletter provides information on the limitation of Hungarian institutions’ participation in Horizon Europe projects or the European Commission’s initiative for advanced materials. Don’t miss the information about submitted projects and the results of selected calls, this time, for example, in Cluster 1, Cluster 6, ERA and Mísí Cancer, Soil, Climate and Water (including the successes of Czech subjects). We also provide information on newly opened calls and events on the subject of Horizon Europe. We would especially like to draw your attention to the jubilee year of the conference CHEDER 2023 and other seminars prepared by the Technology Center Prague focusing on, for example, Teaming, lump sum or ERC grants.

We present successful involvement in EU framework programs
The Czech company UpVision succeeded in the Horizont Evropa SPACE challenge with the CERTIFLIGHT project aimed at certifying the exact location of drones and aircraft. UpVision has been among the leaders in drone services in the Czech Republic for almost 10 years and is very active in research into the use of drones for various purposes not only in the Czech Republic, but also within European research projects. Start-ups and projects of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (VŠCHT) have succeeded in EIT programs. It was created under the auspices of EIT Food (European Institute of Food Innovation and Technology). web platform to support innovation in the food sector. They talk about this project and other EIT programs in which VŠCHT participates on the website Horizon Europe Monika Tomaniová, Edita Ryšlavá and Karolína Friessová.
Guidelines for Writing MSCA Project Proposals
As part of the MSCA-NET project, the NCP for MSCA prepared manuals to help applicants orientate themselves in the structure of the project proposal and the requirements for individual sections. The latest methodological materials relate to the currently open MSCA COFUND and MSCA Staff Exchanges research. Guides for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022 and MSCA Doctoral Networks 2022 have also been published previously. All guides can be found on the website Horizon Europe.
