The striking natural gas comment from the expert: ‘Turkey will have a say in the field of energy’

In a few years, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that this is the new natural gas amount of 58 billion cubic meters in the Çaycuma-1 well of the Fatih Drilling Ship in the Black Sea, 3 thousand 23 meters below the sea, and its size in the region has increased to 710 billion cubic meters. After the guarantee given, it was a matter of curiosity whether the Black Sea gas would be reflected on the invoice. MUSIAD Energy and Environment Sector Board Chairman Altuğ Karataş made a statement about Turkey’s natural gas exploration operations and gave information about how the Black Sea gas would be reflected on the invoice.
“IT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO ENERGY INDEPENDENCE”
Karataş underlined that Turkey’s natural gas work is in the middle of an important issue for energy independence, “Regardless of the cost, natural gas exploration facilities will increase our management and power generation capacity in the largest energy supply. Thanks to these increases, Turkey’s external energy burden will decrease.. On the other hand, the issues we call energy independence have many dimensions. Especially in energy, temperature stands out as one of the critical points for Turkey. These moves will make a great contribution to Turkey’s independent energy. For example, Iran has cut its natural gas supply to Turkey by 70 percent. We will release our own gas in March. We are tasked to pump some up to half of the finned gas from Iran into the grid. In such winter conditions, you neutralize all the periodic moves that may leave you in a difficult situation due to different factors.”
“TURKEY WILL HAVE A VOICE IN ENERGY”
Expressing that Turkey will have an international say in energy with natural gas cuts, Karataş said, “With the merger with natural gas, Turkey is starting to become a player in international markets. Turkey made an agreement with Bulgaria a few days ago. Here, only the arrival of liquefied natural gas in Turkey is not its sale to Bulgaria. Maybe even the gas that will come from our Black Sea will be able to be sold.. In other words, Turkey’s sellers in the international energy market can be a player.”
“NATURAL GAS TANKS ARE FULL”
Talking about Turkey’s steps towards becoming an energy center, Karataş said, “We have established gas storages in Silivri and Tuz Gölü. These gas storages are full. At the moment, we have natural gas that will affect us even if Iran cuts gas. In fact, Turkey has built its most important warehouse in the Black Sea region of Sakarya.. Then we also need to think of it as a natural gas tank,” he said.
“TURKEY WILL DETERMINATE THE NATURAL GAS PRICE IN THE WORLD”
Evaluating Turkey’s steps towards becoming a gas center in the world, Karataş said, “Our neighbors and even major energy players from here express Turkey’s steps towards becoming an energy center. While it is on the way to becoming a natural gas center in the world, Turkey also produces its own gas. As this expansion continues, Turkey will determine the price of natural gas.” said.
“THE GAS RESERVE IN THE BLACK SEA IS EXPECTED TO REACH 1 TRILLION CUBE”
On the other hand, stressing that Turkey continues to search for gas, Karataş said, “We own one of the most important gas and oil exploration fleets in the world. New moves may come from the Eastern Mediterranean at the moment. New from the Black Sea news Waiting. It is stated that the gas reserve of 700 billion cubic meters in the Black Sea can reach more than 1 cubic meter of natural gas.”
“TURKEY IMPLEMENTS A HUGE SUBSCRIPTION ON NATURAL GAS”
Providing information on how domestic natural gas will be reflected in his compulsory pocket, Karataş said, “He built a unique natural gas terminal in Turkey. He made a big investment in natural gas. In addition to this, Turkey applies a tremendous subsidy to the citizens according to the natural gas prices it provides.. In other words, the natural gas entering the houses was already ready, and it is reflected to the citizens at a discount. But despite this, it may be reflected in the pocket of the local natural gas owner as an extra result,” he said.
