The driver spoke up, under whom the earth opened in Debrecen
As before Infostart also reported last thursday, the asphalt on the transit section of highway 4 in Debrecen broke, almost swallowing a car on the ground. Water flow caused the crack in the road on Rakovszky Street, where the employees of Debreceni Vízmű Zrt. tried to prevent the water leakage.
A man could experience the rare phenomenon up close. Philip Vértesi was doing his daily business when the ground opened up under his car. THE to dehir.hu he said he was on his way to see his company’s accountant when the ground went out from under him.
“I didn’t break any rules, luckily no one was sitting next to me, and I didn’t get into trouble either. The scenario could have been different, so I can only be happy,” he emphasized. He saw that the traffic had already been diverted by then, and suddenly he noticed that the professionals working there were running out to stop him. As it turned out later,
they had already seen the crack, but by the time the interested car braked, the hole had swallowed the BMW.
He was most frightened by the fact that he did not know how long the fall would last, and then by the fact that he was still able to save his company papers from the car. As he said, a person immediately rushed to his aid, mapping the situation. Although he could only get out of the car from the side of the mother-in-law’s seat, he didn’t even have time to block it: he immediately planned how he could continue his daily tasks, because he had to go on time.
Vértesi Philip vár, this will never happen to him again, and he is grateful to the city administration for the immediate assistance. The claims specialist is currently investigating, but the damage is being settled in the city’s entire car.
“I’ve had the car for a year. It’s funny to think that if I were to sell it, people would think of the slightly damaged wording in the description about knocking and bad parking, not that this car broke into Rakovszky,” said the damaged motorist.
