“Klangaros” in Turkey: active Matoušek, excellent Jedlička, but passable center
DIRECT FROM BELEK | A quality opponent, pleasant weather, wonderful goals, lots of chances… Bohemians in Belek, Turkey played an interesting match against Romanian Sepsi in front of teams from Teplice and Ostrava, which tested them well. What did the 2-2 draw show? For example, a very quick adaptation of the new goalkeeper Martin Jedlička.
Pilsen’s goalkeeper, who will soon celebrate his 25th birthday, will be a significant reinforcement for the “kangaroos”. Martin Jedlička showed this especially in the first half, when he caught several Romanian chances. A reflex action, a timely run, catching a long-range shot… In short, all kinds of work and solid footwork. With a trio of stoppers, Jedlička tried to build a combination game, at other times he looked for a running Matoušek with a long kick. In FORTUNA:LIZE, he catches up after five years.
The midfield consisting of Josef Jindřišek and Jan Morávek did not work very well in the first half. Especially when it comes to defense, Sepsi very often gets forward precisely from the space of the experienced pair, who are 74 years old together. And too simply because they were huge. If we also add Aleš Čermák, who is also not among the sprinters, he is not too tall for coach Jaroslav Veselý to use this trio together even in the spring league battles. Adam Jánoš is stronger.
It is obvious that coach Jaroslav Veselý will apply a scheme with three stoppers. But maybe with old faces. Defensive midfielder Ondřej Petrák is tested in the middle of the three, while on the left is the returnee from Macedonia Jan Vondra. Thanks to his left-handedness, Bohemians have another option and Lukáš Hůlka or Antonín Křapka can start on the right with their stronger leg. Daniel Köstl plays on the right wingback, he tries, he works honestly, but filing the line and crossing is not his domain.
Roman Květ in Pilsen, Petr Hronek in Slavia. And in “Dolíček” again Aleš Čermák with Jan Matoušek. Two thirds of the attack will be with new faces, they started together under David Puskáč against Sepsi. The active Jan Matoušek looked better, and in the 3–4–2–1 system, he is much more suited to the right side of the under-the-point position than the wingback. He showed taste, energy, sprinting runs. He didn’t slack off. When he survives better with the new ones and refines the final phase, Prague will have another quality striker.
