Kyiv intends to submit for discussion a draft meeting of the UN General Assembly on the creation of a joint tribunal against Russia. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova at an open debate of the Security Council of the world organization for the supreme law in international relations. transfer RBC.
“We call on all countries to support the resolution on the establishment of the tribunal, which we are going to submit for consideration,” she said.
Dzhaparova did not name the exact dates for Kyiv to submit for discussion the draft meeting of the UN General Assembly on the creation of a special tribunal against the Russian Federation, but she noted that this was “later in parliament.” In the meantime, according to her, Ukraine’s “number one priority” at the UN is a resolution on Zelensky’s “peace plan”.
Earlier, with the initiative to create a joint international tribunal for Ukraine under the auspices of the UN, Ursula von der Leyen headed the European Commission. Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the World Organization called this proposal “an attempt to give some form of legitimacy to the seizure of Russian assets.”
