Grégory Doucet responds to the comments of far-right activist Damien Rieu on the Guillotière
Invited on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” on Thursday, the former member of the small group “Génération identitaire” affirmed that we only did it in the neighborhood with “halal shops”.
He is accustomed to the fact. Mainly known for his discriminatory veils on the social network Twitter, the far-right activist Damien Lefèvre, alias Damien Rieu, was this Thursday on the set of the program “Touche pas à mon poste”.
Originally from the Lyon region, the former member of the nationalist group “Génération identitaire” – now suppressed – mentioned the Guillotière district, where, according to him, he lived in the past. “There are only halal shops. So if I don’t want to eat halal, what do I do?” he asked.
An outing that did not please the environmental mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, who answered him on his favorite medium. “You can also go and taste the best praline tart in the world at the Guillotière! Available for other information on our culinary heritage”, writes the city councilor.
And for good reason, Nicolas Pépin, an artisan pastry chef whose one of the two shops is located in the district in question, won last October the prize for the best praline tart during the first edition of the dedicated world.
A proponent of the great replacement theory
Defender of the conspiracy theory of the great replacement, Damien Rieu, who joined the ranks of Reconquête during the campaign for the 2022 presidential election, was invited to defend himself on the set of the C8 program after a journalist l a trapped using a video.
In this sequence, he pretended to indulge in a Muslim prayer in a room of the Paris courthouse. Damien Rieu was then quick to post the said video on his account, before deleting it after realizing the deception.
