Before the Bundesliga restarted, the German record champions FC Bayern separated 4: 4 from the Austrian series champions RB Salzburg. At first glance, an unsatisfactory result.
Despite problems in the back team, coach Julian Nagelsmann saw some scenes that were satisfying for him. “A lot was already good,” he told “FC Bayern.tv”, but he also said: “We still have something to do.”
Then his players had chances for far more than four goals and at the back Bayern, where winter new signing Daley Blind made his debut, seemed again and again not in the saddle.
Nagelsmann rates Tel’s short mission: “Outstanding”
After all, the jokers around blind or goal scorer Arijon Ibrahimovic, who came into play after about an hour, made a good impression. Nagelsmann speaks of “a lot of energy”. In the coach’s eyes, Mathys Tel in particular had “played outstandingly, Kingsley Coman was good too.” Both had scored and prepared a goal and caused a lot of fuss.
Weak phases an eyesore
With the new players, I generally had “good power on the pitch”. Nevertheless, Nagelsmann complained that after a good 20 minutes at the beginning “the defense was no longer so consistent”. After weaker minutes before and after the break, it was all the more important to have “fresh players who could set the pace”.
After all, the players were tired after the exhausting units in Doha. Nagelsmann Schloss: “It was good for a test, we can draw our conclusions from it.” Now it is important to fully charge the batteries for next Friday. Then the important game at pursuer RB Leipzig is coming up for the restart of the Bundesliga (8.30 p.m., LIVE! at kicker).
