A drunken man fell under a tram in Plzeňská street on Wednesday evening. She suffered serious injuries. Firefighters had to send him off the track. Rescuers took him and the tram driver to the hospital.

As Jana Poštová, spokeswoman for the Prague rescuers, told about the accident, a man in his fifties suffered multiple injuries. “The rescuers had to put him into artificial sleep, secure his airways, connect him to a monitor and transport him to Motol hospitals after treatment. At the same time, paramedics also treated a 50-year-old woman with an acute stress reaction on the spot,” confirmed the ambulance spokesperson.

Prague police spokesman Jan Daněk added that the man who fell under the wheels of the tram was subjected to a breathalyzer test after being rescued. “She confirmed more than one per million of alcohol in her breath. Police are still investigating the incident. The tram driver, who was injured in the accident, was also taken to the hospital by paramedics,” concluded the police spokeswoman.
