Čupr writes to Bart: You are the main dung-thrower of Pavlov’s campaign
Jan Barta criticized Danuš Nerudová’s meeting with the billionaire and coal baron on Twitter Pavel Tykač and his wife Ivana Tykač, with whom, according to Deník N, she met at the beginning of December in the Prague restaurant Portfolio. According to Nerudová, it was primarily a meeting with Tykač’s wife Ivana in connection with the publication of a book in which the candidates answered children’s questions.
“Honzo, I respect you, but that you will be the main dung-thrower of the PP campaign (Petra Pavla – editor’s note), I didn’t think of it. You don’t have to demand it,” Tomáš Čupr to Bart’s criticism of Neruda.
Barta, who had already sent 2.5 million crowns to Petr Pavel’s campaign, immediately replied: “Tomáš, I have been financing a number of good governance and anti-corruption initiatives for ten years. At the same time, to steer clear of toxic investors from the IT world. Do you think my conscience would allow me to remain silent when I have very credible information that some influential groups are secretly funding a potential president?’

Barta already criticized Nerudová on Twitter on Thursday: “It’s just more and more coming to the surface that she is more of a product than a realistically vetted candidate. And I believe that there is a real chance that it will turn out that it is actually the product of a powerful couple with dubious moral credit,” wrote Barta.
Danuše Nerudová denies that her campaign was sponsored by Pavel Tykač. When asked about her relationship with Tykač and the aforementioned meeting, the presidential candidate answered the director of Czech TV’s “Nedej se” program, Martin Markov, that she would not even accept the gift.
“I can absolutely categorically rule out any financial support from Mr. Tyčeč, all donations are listed on a transparent account that was established even before the deadline required by law. My campaign is completely transparent, in the evaluation of Transparency International it came out the best of all the candidates. On December 1st, I met publicly in an open restaurant with Mrs. Tykačová, who had published a book of children’s interviews with the presidential candidates and wanted to give it to me. Mr. Tykač also accompanied her to our short meetings, we talked about the book and women’s topics that Mrs. Tykačová and I had previously discussed at conferences. We did not deal with the campaign or any financial support, and I would not accept it,” said Nerudová.
The former rector of Mendel University started a donation from the former co-owner of Škoda Transportation Tomáš Krsko in January. In November, she collected exactly five million crowns from the billionaire and owner of the chain of drugstores Teta Martin Moravec. Gastronomy entrepreneur Pavel Faiereisl or the Inedax company, which, among other things, operates the Hamleys toy store in Prague, also contributed two million Neruds. The million was sent by businessman Zdeňek Rýzner. The head of the Ambiente restaurant group Tomáš Karpíšek, the founder of the company Profimed Alexandra Kala and the ex-minister of education Petra Buzková contributed to the Nerud campaign. Nerudová herself invested almost a million crowns in the campaign.
