– When we compare the name selection with Sweden and Denmark, it is a name that all three countries are the only ones to deserve a place on the podium. Namely the beautiful name Luna! This does not just apply to dogs. The name Luna is also on the top three list for cat names in Scandinavia, says CEO of Agria Animal Insurance, Marianne Broholm Einarsen.
Agria Dyreforsikring is Norway’s only insurance company only for animals. For many years in a row, they have collected and voted the most popular names for dogs and cats. When someone buys insurance for the animal, the name that the owner uses on a daily basis is registered, in addition to any name on the pedigree. Here, it is the daily names that are included in the selection. The list is based on all hundred born in 2022 who are insured with the company. Both purebred dogs and mixed dogs are included.
