Portugal leads the list of the ten cheapest countries to live by Forbes magazine – Society
Portugal comes first in the list of the ten cheapest countries to live in prepared by the magazine forbes. The list was designed for Americans who want to change jobs and lives.
“Leave your job and move to one of the cheapest and best countries to live in. Countries where costs are so low that you can stop working”, can be read in the publication.
To choose the ten cheapest destinations, forbes was based on the annual Global Retirement Index of the best places to retire from 2017 to 2022 by International Life.
“[Esta lista] it is for anyone looking for a better life, a more accessible life or just a way to escape the hectic pace of life, violence, politics and division”, he says.
Portugal enters this list, first, for having been chosen as the best country to live in, for the low cost of living when compared to the US and for “the visa options make it relatively easy to stay there for a long period”.
The cities mentioned were Lisbon, Porto and in the Algarve region, Lagos, Tavira and Vilamoura.
After Portugal, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Spain, Greece, France, Italy and Thailand are on the list.
