The singer from Debrecen appeared with an Irish ballad – with video
Debrecen – They shot a video with great musicians in a popular cafe in Debrecen.
The frontman of PG, Zsolt Jantyik, told Dehir a few years ago that “it’s worth doing what you love, because it always validates you”, and he also noted that “it’s not certain that you have to go with the trend at all costs”.
Well, this is the experimental singer who previously rewrote Sándor János Petőfi’s valiant Silver tassel at the end of the year, he appeared with a new video. The music and the lyrics are a little heartbreaking, exactly the way Irish ballads usually affect the listener, which is no accident: Zsolt Jantyik performed the song “Sose bánd” in the company of the band MÉZ, which has been carrying the flag of Irish and Scottish folk music since 1988.
When asked if this meeting was a one-off, Zsolt revealed that he has a thousand-year friendship with Sándor Turzó, they served in the military together when neither PG nor MÉZ (that is, the Meg Nem Ertett Zenekar) existed.
– About 25 years ago, I received a request from them for this beautiful Irish ballad, to make an artificial translation for it. Instead, I wrote this text, which the boys didn’t accept because they felt it wasn’t authentic. Then the years flew by, and we met again, this song came out, and this text, to which they said they liked it, it was very good… I told them that it was good a long time ago… They played in Debrecen at the beginning of December, and then we recorded this video.
There will be a continuation of the song and the meeting, and until then, here is Sose bánd, listen to it here and immerse yourself in its world.
