Russia and China will support cooperation between the armed forces
It is reported by the BBC. Tony Blair said that Vladimir Putin is following the “best table” in the world, despite the fears of officials.
In early 2001, Blair takes his approach to the Russian president by telling Dick Cheney the election of Vice President that this will deal with his Western views and Western economic models.
He claimed that Putin was a Russian patriot, sensitive to the “victims” in Russia in the world, and had a similar “thinking” to French President Charles de Gaulle, although they were impossible to meet.
When it came to us, Putin told Blair that he would not slow down the expansion of the bloc. At the same time, his Defense Minister Igor Sergeyev told his NATO colleagues that this would be a “major political mistake” and Russia would “take several steps,” writes the BBC.
Putin spoke warmly of the “closeness” between Britain and Russia. He even built a gas pipeline across the Baltic Sea to find gas in the UK.
He told Blair that this would “ensure stable supplies at speed ahead”. The proposal was put forward at a meeting of the two leaders in Moscow in 2002, but this pipeline was never built.
