Matka Nordic Travel Fair is coming in January – Partner country Greece
Greece, which was already designated as a partner country in 2021, will continue to be at this year’s Matka Nordic Travel Fair.
2023 will start with two major tourism fairs. In addition to the Fitur exhibition, in January will also take place Matka Nordic Travel Fair. It is noted that the exhibition in question has been postponed for three years due to the pandemic, while this year it will take place on January 20-22, 2023, in Helsinki.
At the Matka Nordic Travel Fair residents can learn about different travel destinations and cultures as well as get advice on routes, in addition to the fair’s special offers and dining experiences.
It is the largest professional event in Northern Europe in the travel industry, while from the 18th of the month the “Matka Workshop Day”, where hundreds of companies will hold scheduled short meetings. Thursday January 19, 2020 is the real day for professionals with a complementary program, while Friday’s content is student-oriented, with positions in the tourism industry, accommodation and events not presented by the companies that qualify as future employers.
Greece, which was already designated as a partner country in 2021, will continue to be now. The cooperation will continue due to mutual desire of both EOT as well as the Matka Nordic Travel Fair. According to his study SMALL (Association of the Finnish Travel Industry), Greece already stands out in 2022 as the most popular holiday destination for Finns – once again.
The destination defined as “Partner country” it is presented both in most of the many Greek organizations and in the program of the event. “We are proud that Greece is a country of the Matka Nordic Travel Fair and that the fair will finally take place in January 2023. Finland and the other Nordic countries are important for Greek tourism and we want more tourists to get to know the destination. Safety, authenticity and Greek food culture are important reasons why Finns will continue to visit Greece,” says Mr. Pavlos Murmas, head of the Nordic and Baltic countries of the EOT.
