The government has decided to further expand the family tax system, and women under the age of 30 who have children do not have to pay personal income tax, said the state secretary for families of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation on Wednesday.
Ágnes Hornung announced in a video uploaded to the government’s social media page: the government decree on tax exemption will be announced soon.
He put it this way: as with any other family support, the government has two goals in this case as well. In addition to encouraging childbearing, I also want more money to remain with families with children, he emphasized.

The sja exemption is not new in the family tax system, working young people under the age of 25 have been exempt from personal income tax for one year, and mothers with four or more children have been exempt for three years
– reminded Ágnes Hornung. He emphasized: the new SJA exemption applies to mothers under the age of 30.
According to the government’s calculations, tens of thousands of young mothers with income will be able to take advantage of the tax exemption, he explained. He indicated that they are entitled not only to the new SJA exemption, but also to all other family benefits, for example, family tax relief, babysitting support and the childcare fee (gyed).
According to his information, just like the family tax discount, the tax exemption can be applied for your own and adopted children.
Ágnes Hornung expressed her hope that as many people as possible will use the form of support.
