‘Winter revue’ band in Theater Elckerlyc in Antwerp consists of three West Flemish people
Until Sunday 15 January you can still visit Theater Elckerlyc in Antwerp for ‘Winter revue – An Evening With The Six Pack’. The live band is led by Thomas Vanhauwaert from Oudenburg. Drummer Hélène Deklerck is also from West Flanders. She lives in Ardooie. Joshua Dellaert lives in Ghent, but his roots are in Ostend.
Margriet Hermans is special guest in this seventh Winter Revue. She is surrounded by the cast with Dirk Van Vooren, Patrick Onzia, Helle Vanderheyden, Ianthe Tavernier and Laurenz Hoorelbeke. Producer Backstage Productions provides a wonderful live show in which the most beautiful choreographies, the best songs and the bursts of laughter in the sketches follow each other at a good pace. The larger LED wall and the band’s new arrangement provide even more connection with the audience. The cast and ensemble, the ballet conducted by Laurent Flament and the live band accompanied by Thomas Vanhauwaert are doing everything they can to play a magnificent live show that exudes the atmosphere, humor and panache of the legendary casino concerts from the 1950s.
The ‘Winter revue band’ was composed by the leading leader Thomas Vanhauwaert from Oudenburg. They have played together in the past, but not yet in this line-up as they are now on the stage of Theater Elckerlyc. The band consists of: Thomas Vanhauwaert (keys/MD – Oudenburg), Dieter Debruyne (guitars/key2 – Antwerp), Joshua Dellaert (bass guitar/double bass – from Ostend but lives in Ghent), Hélène Deklerck (drums – Ardooie), Marie -Anne Standaert (trumpet – Ghent) and Loes Minnebo (trombone). If you want to see the strong live band at work, that is still possible until Sunday 15 January. (PADI)
