The two Federal Police assume that the number of train passengers in Frankfurt at the turn of the year will increase significantly compared to previous years. This goes hand in hand with an increase in the potential for conflict, because experience shows that initially trivial disputes, usually under the influence of alcohol, can result in physical arguments. Therefore, the federal police will carry out more checks on New Year’s Eve.
Irrespective of criminal or administrative offense proceedings under the Weapons Act, the Federal Police can result in official penalties, bans, bans from train stations – house bans – or subsequent exclusions from transport. (Crate)
