Former duo from Eintracht Frankfurt now receives new contracts
Two former Eintracht Frankfurt players joined new clubs on Deadline Day.
Frankfurt – As usual, Deadline Day is wild. Numerous clubs try to attract reinforcements to a country or sell players on the last day of the transfer phase. Until the end there were tough negotiations and many players changed. Eintracht Frankfurt had something to report both in terms of arrivals and departures. Philipp Max came to the SGEin return Luca Pellegrini’s loan ended.
However, the full-back did not return to Juventus, instead moving on to Lazio.

Two former Eintracht Frankfurt players also joined a new club on the final day of the transfer window. Michael Hector, who came to Main on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2016, played for SGE in the 2016/17 season and then returned to Stamford Bridge. The angular central defender was unable to make a lasting impression on Main. For Eintracht Frankfurt he made 22 appearances in the Bundesliga, in which he scored one goal.
However, he did not stay at Chelsea, but went on loan to Hull City. He then worked for Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham FC before becoming without a club in the summer of 2022. After half a year without a club, he has now signed a contract with Charlton Athletic. The club from London plays in League One, the third tier of England. Hector signed a contract until the end of the current season. Charlton Athletic is the 16th club in the 30-year-old’s career.

Haris Seferovic has also found a new club. The attacker joins Celta Vigo in Spain on loan from Benfica. In the first half of the season, the Swiss national player was active for Galatasaray Istanbul, but the loan contract was terminated. The 30-year-old played at Eintracht Frankfurt between 2014 and 2016. In a total of 96 appearances, he scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists. After three years in the Adler jersey, the center forward is moving to Benfica Lisbon on a free transfer.
