Money for three new buses. The state will return 18.5 million to the transport company in Brno
The fee from renewable energy sources had to be paid by operators of electric traction cars. Among them is the Brno transport company. The European Commission has decided that transport companies will be exempted from these fees as early as January 2022, but the refund is dependent on the issuance of another government regulation.

Thanks to it, transport companies should get their money back for the period from January to September this year. Part of the money was promised to the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka already this year.
However, according to Hana Tomaštíková, the spokesperson for the transport company, it is not yet clear when the Brno transport company will get the money back. “The government has not issued a decision yet and it is impossible to say with certainty when it will happen,” Tomaštíková told Deník.

In the case of the transport company, the amount is 18.5 million crowns for the period from January to September this year. “For this amount, for example, three new low-floor air-conditioned buses could be purchased,” said Tomaštíková.
Since October of this year, no one pays a contribution to the fee from renewable energy sources.
