DVTK Polar Bears–DEAC 3–2 (2–1, 0–0, 0–1, 0–0, 1–0) – shootout
Those who arrived late to the ice rink in Miskolc missed a lot of things, because they didn’t sit down in front of the TV in time: by the end of the 3rd minute of the match, three goals had already been scored – the two teams met with a similar pairing at the beginning of December, then it only took 11 seconds. waiting for the first goal.
This time, 62 seconds passed when, after a party in the attacking third, Jesper-Juhani Ilveusso’s shot slipped between the legs of Zoltán Hetényi – an advantage for DVTK, plus the Finnish defender was also effective in the third of the season against DEAC, which none of his teammates were able to do. The guests quickly equalized in 72 seconds after Bálint Pecsét received a minor penalty for delaying the game, and Jan Dalecky took advantage of the awarded man advantage. However, the tie remained for only 28 seconds, because Márk Miskolczi made great use of the fact that Hetényi moved out of his goal and shot the puck from behind the baseline to the goalkeeper’s back, from where it bounced behind the goal line…
It was a sharp, smart – or rather unlucky – hit, a matter of point of view and club sympathy. However, the vehement start was not followed by a similar continuation: the nearly 1,200 could see that DEAC mobilized great forces to equalize again, and shot more shots on goal than the team from Miskolc, which Janis Voris then drew down the spectators.
In the second period, the home team signaled with a goal that they were not satisfied with the two goals scored, but the game was interrupted in the middle of the period, after which the ice was damaged in a long, thin strip in a neutral period. After the quick repair, it was necessary to wait twenty minutes for the replacement to freeze, but after the referees examined the questionable area on the field together with István Egri, the president of Jegesmedvék, they decided to wait another 20 minutes for the ice to be in proper condition.
Finally, after the end of another 20 minutes, the condition of the ice was satisfactory, so the match continued, which continued to bring a varied game, beautiful and sometimes spectacular solutions, but the goal was missed.
In the third act, the tension increased even more, after five minutes of play, the match was colored by some scuffles, where DVTK had a great victory through Dávid Lövei and DEAC through Jakub Izacky. Finally, six minutes before the end, Izacky received a great jump and Voris could no longer defend, 2-2 – extra time could come, but before that, another ice renovation followed, because the ice error that had been fixed earlier appeared again. In the end, we managed to quickly get the pitch in such a state that the extra time could start, which brought huge cheers, but no goal, so after five minutes it was decided by shootouts, the home team remained calmer, so they pocketed the extra point.

Viktor Tokaji: – There was everything in this match, as in the farewell, and the main thing is that we can see a hockey treat for the spectators. The match was decided only in the extra time, we scored two points against the beaten team in a fierce fight.
József György: “We played a really good game.” The ice problem was bad for us, we slept a little after the forced break, but in the third period we made a huge effort to equalize. We got a point and took a step forward in the game.
Budapest JAHC–Dunaújváros Steel Bulls 9–1 (1–0, 5–0, 3–1)
There was much less excitement in the other match of the day: the list-leading Budapest Ice Hockey Academy easily validated the paper form against the Dunaújváros Steel Bulls, so they won their eighth home game in a row – DAB has not won in the league for more than a month, and has lost ten in a row.
The Steel Bulls held their own well in the first third, capitulating only once: Balázs Kangyal’s team took the lead with a goal by Mirko Djumics. Ilja Culigin then came in the second half and with his double scored in five minutes, he minimized the chance that the two streaks outlined above would be interrupted. In the middle of the third period, national team striker Márk Schlekmann took advantage of a man goal in barely 20 seconds, and five minutes later Kirils Galoha scored the fifth goal – in fact, the sixth goal came before the break, Eetu Elo, who is fighting for the title of top scorer, scored his 20th of the season. . his championship goal.
The guests improved at the beginning of the third period through Balázs Somogyi, then Elo beat DVTK’s Valentin Razumnyak, and after a strike from Richárd Tóth, he completed his hat-trick: together with setting the final score to 9-1, he also overtook Razumnyak in the sniper competition.

MASTER SCALE
Balázs Kangyal: – We played well in special game situations, although there weren’t many of them. I am very happy to have managed to get the last three points of the year. This is only the regular season, but for us as a small team, our task is to become bigger and bigger. The most important thing is to keep winning the game.
Niko Eronen: – We played well in the first period, we managed to achieve what we wanted, then in the middle period we quickly got the second and third goals, and from then on it became an impossible mission to score points. I feel sorry for our young goalkeeper, who had to make his senior debut in such a match.
