Justice plucks cocaine smuggler bald: seven years in prison and four holiday villas confiscated (Antwerp)
The Antwerp criminal court has sentenced cocaine smuggler Terence VO (48) to 7 years in prison and a fine of 64,000 euros for terminating the import of 3.5 tons of cocaine. The drug trafficker has also lost almost all his possessions, because the court has forfeited savings, a plot of forest land and four holiday villas in Stekene.
Terence VO is no stranger to the Antwerp drug world. A few years ago, the man was one of the first targets of an attack in which he was attacked in Stekene. Thanks to the cracking of the secret chat application, SKY ECC police and the public prosecutor’s office also gained insight into the drug transports in which Terence VO was involved. In 2020, for example, he would have been partly responsible for the import of almost 3.5 tons of cocaine. Terence VO was together with dock worker Dave D., who would have provided handyman services to the group that Terence VO would also be part of.
The court sentences Terence VO to seven years of destruction and a fine of 64,000 euros. The court assumes that the defendant earned 100,000 euros per successful transport and believed that he would have earned approximately 600,000 euros in a short period of time. In addition, the court on Terence VO and his partner did not declare any income, but did circulate large amounts through their own accounts and those of family members. The court is of the opinion that the four holiday villas, a plot of forest land and savings must be confiscated.
Dock worker Dave D. is sentenced to six years in prison and a fine of 40,000 euros. In the case of the dock worker, the court has forfeited criminal assets of 210,000 euros.
