Lyons. A duo at the head of the Nuits de Fourvière
They were six candidates in lice to succeed Dominique Delorme at the head of the Nuits de Fourvière. It was Bruno Bernard, the president of the Metropolis on which the Lyon event depends, who decided: he chose the duo Emmanuelle Durand and Vincent Anglade to direct this multidisciplinary festival which has existed since 1946 in Lyon. The appointment of the new team will be subject to deliberation at the Conseil de la Métropole on January 23, before final validation by the festival’s Board of Directors.
Vincent Anglade is responsible for contemporary music and multidisciplinary projects at the Philharmonie de Paris. Emmanuelle Durand, a graduate of the Toulouse Institute of Political Studies, has been general secretary of the Auditorium de Lyon since 2017. Their project presents “a multidisciplinary festival, anchored in the metropolitan territory and a player in the transformations of our society. “According to them, it is a question of putting the same level of requirement “artistic programming and societal and environmental issues. »
Bruno Bernard evokes “an artistic and cultural project reconciling with environmental urgency and a virtuous economic model. Emmanuelle Durand and Vincent Anglade will present their ambitions in more detail during a press conference on January 4th.
We already know that the summer program for the 2023 edition will see Benjamin Biolay, Zazie, Florence Foresti or Michel Polnareff on the stage of the ancient theatre.
