Negotiation of Budapest Ukraine with buses – photos
The transport company announced: the 15 vehicles – five Volvo solo and ten articulated Ikarus – were handed over on Monday by Gergely Karácsony, Mayor of Budapest, and Tibor Bolla, CEO of BKV Zrt., to István Balog, Ukraine’s charge d’affaires in Hungary.
Since the summer, the company has received several inquiries asking for the offer of buses from Ukraine, but until now the BKV did not have a functional reserve of vehicles that could be taken out of circulation, they wrote, adding that now, however, several buses that can continue to be operated have been freed up for bus exchanges.
Sweating: the BKV has already provided services to the neighboring country and people fleeing to Hungary on several occasions – with warming buses or even with humanitarian transport.
