Linden-Nord/Nordstadt. A cult festival is celebrating a special birthday: The ferryman’s festival, which was first launched in 1983 as a small Sunday happening at the confluence of the Leine and Ihme, will be 40 years old in 2023. The big party for this occasion will take place from August 4th to 6th, as always, on the Fährmannsinsel.

On Friday there will be a special ferryman’s festival with a special concert – it’s still a secret who will perform then. On Saturday, among other things, punk live sounds from the bands Rogers and “Me First And The Gimme Gimmes” can be heard. Anyone who wants to join in the celebrations, is in a hurry and loves musical surprises can already secure a special combination birthday ticket for the significantly lower special price of 40 euros (plus fees), which is valid for Friday and Saturday. Regular tickets for Friday only cannot be booked at the moment. If you only want to pre-order regular tickets for Saturday, you can already do so and pay 20 euros (plus fees). More information on purchasing tickets is available at www.faehrmannsfest.de.
No entry on Sunday
On the traditional entry-free Sunday, the band Raum27 will be on stage with energetic hybrid pop.
