Football, Sarpsborg 08 | Former Sarpsborg 08 coach will probably become new LSK coach
Romerikes Blad also has the same information, and according to what RB learns, the former LSK player will be presented as a new coach as early as Tuesday.
– No comment, says Bergdølmo himself TV2.
Recently it became clear that the 51-year-old had finished as coach of the junior team for Sarpsborg 08.
– It came as a surprise to me. We have won the series for consecutive years, Bergdølmo told SA at the beginning of last week when it became clear that he was no longer part of Sarpsborg 08’s future plans.
Bergdølmo played over 100 games for Lillestrøm as a player, but also made himself unpopular at Åråsen when he went to Rosenborg in 1997. In 2009, however, he was back at Åråsen as an assistant coach.
Last week, the 51-year-old confirmed above SA that he wants to work with football next season as well.
– I hope it will be more football, but nothing is certain. I probe the terrain, and we’ll see which layers are available and what I can be relevant for. I am not close to any clubs yet, he said.
Well, it may indicate that he will become a coach for LSK Kvinner, which has recently stormed around, when last week there was a clear majority against the incorporation of LSK Kvinner FK in Lillestrøm Sports Club.
In addition to Norwegian football, Bergdølmo has had a long and meaningful playing career, which included captaincy in Ajax. He also played for clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Copenhagen and Strømsgodset in addition to the already mentioned LSK and Rosenborg.
