Calea Ferată din Moldova (CFM) provides a new service for the service: three trains from the company’s equipment will be rented for special occasions. The price varies depending on the number of people, the route and the occasion of the party. The innovation is aimed at diversifying sources of income and increasing the company’s budget for further investments in infrastructure.
If previously this was used by the management of the company to inspect the railways, today it can be the host of your party.
Recently renovated and equipped, this train is one of three made available by
to the Railway from Moldova. It can be rented for trips, birthdays or other parties.
In addition to this train, with the fewest seats, there are two others: a retro one and a modern one, which can accommodate up to 400 people. According to CFM representatives, the newly launched service has two goals: promoting the enterprise and accumulating money in the budget:
“In this, we decided to capitalize on the company’s capabilities, in order to generate new revenues. After an analysis, we understood that we have the possibility to offer other services than the classic ones, passenger transport, namely – to make occasional trips, special trips, either for tourist purposes, or moving people from one place to another. “.
The price varies depending on the distance traveled, but also the crew worth the race:
“The minimum distance, for example, with this wagon would be around 5,000 lei for a 40-minute trip.”
Trips can be even longer than 40 minutes. In this case, a break can also be taken, for the passengers to have a tea or a coffee, in specially arranged places:
“So, this room is supposed to prepare some canapés, products, pies. In addition to all this we have tea and coffee to drink on the way, especially if the journey is longer. In addition to all that, a territory must be specially arranged where we can serve people with drinks. Especially since there are a maximum of 30 people here and to be comfortable on the road”.
Guided by the locomotive engineer, Serghei Milev told us that this train is most often rented for excursions:
“The speed is set by the General Manager of the Railway and is adapted according to the Regulation. The maximum speed is 100 km/h”.
The Calea Ferată enterprise from Moldova reached the food threshold, after registering debts of over 800 million lei, and the employees had not collected their salaries for many months, refusing to go to work. With the change of management, salary arrears were liquidated, and CFM’s debts to other institutions – gradually extinguished.
