Oriental Nights 2022: spotlight on Morocco and the Orient
From November 25 to December 11, the “Les Nuits d’Orient” festival is coming to Dijon. A festival makes you discover the oriental culture.
For more than 20 years, the city of Dijon has adorned itself with oriental habits to help you discover the culture of this world.
This year, Dijon highlights Morocco, particularly the city of Chefchaouene, the famous city with blue buildings. In addition, six exhibitions will take place to display images of the blue city, photographs by Hadnan Hakoun in his exhibition On Blue Background which will last from November 29 to December 15 at the Cèdre de Chenôve.
On the program of the festivities: exhibitions, concerts, workshops, dance and theater performances.
Exhibitions that emerge from us in the cities of the Middle East ; in Istanbul or in the medinas of Morocco thanks to the shots of photographers, tableware where ceramics will be exhibited, but also calligraphy.
Concerts and shows ; as the Opera Chorus, where he will perform medieval Spanish Muslim songs; UN Electro DJ Set with Risk. Several dance companies like Hadippa which will introduce Bollywood dance or The Moon of the Orienta Métis dance troupe.
Culinary workshops to discover oriental cuisine, such as pastry or vegetarian cuisine; the reading oriental tales ; debates-conferencesetc
A whole panoply of oriental representations, the aim of which is always to make you travel further and to awaken your conscience to the culture of the world.
Several partners, associations and socio-cultural structures will also offer entertainment during these three weeks of festivities and in different places such as the Feuillants theatre, the Fine Arts museum, the Maison-Phare, the MJC de Montchapet or the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco…
Some events are chargeable, others free. Anyway, we advise you to book your places. Each day has its own event(s).
