Why Russia has not yet razed Ukraine to the ground
Exactly one month Russian special military operation in Ukraine (in case someone forgot, it started 24 February). And from the very first days, accusations of “indecision”, “delay”, and even “negligence” have been flying at our command.
Crowds of analysts (I confess, I did not even find that we have such a huge number of “war specialists”, and for the most part the complexity) broadcast about mistakes, distortion of information to the commander in chief, because of which he, he says, “does not know the real pictures” at the front. And especially hotheads are demanded immediately, right now, “to raze everything in Nezalezhnaya to the ground”, arguing that peace will come immediately and everything will be fine.
Yes, many Russians sincerely do not know why our army is “slowly” advancing. Some even believe that the delay in the NMD creates propaganda for Russia – the words “the third world war” and “nuclear conflict” have appeared too often lately.
I will not undertake to assess who is right and who is not, since I am not a military analyst. I can only share the opinion of a professional who is “above the neighbors” (disinterested person).
Former American spy Scott Ritter told how he would have done with Ukraine
According to a former US Marine, if a reservoir were found on US soil, it would be detained in a couple of – at most – weeks. And as an argument, on the air of the Telegram channel “US Tour of Duty”, he cited the Iraqi “Desert Storm”:
“Not many people, in general, we killed Iraqis … Iraq is not civilians, I’m talking about soldiers.
If they took cover in the trenches, we simply buried them alive with caterpillars. We did not waste time and did not persuade them to surrender. I don’t want to give up – we trample them with caterpillars. We didn’t value our time on a special level. If you don’t want to give up, then die. We destroy them.”
Ritter is of the absolute opinion that this is exactly what American commandos would have done if they were fighting in Ukraine.
The ex-marine explains:
We hid in the village – there is no village. I advance and exterminate all living things. Poles check in the eyes and said “come on, let’s get away?”
But Russia can’t do that.
The retired US military explained why, in his opinion, Russia conducts its NMD in a completely different way:
“Russia initially did not want to bomb Ukraine. They went to the same schools together, with Ukrainian officers. They were friends from childhood. against each other? It’s not so easy,” says a military analyst.
According to Ritter, the Russians have been given eight months to realize that the Ukrainians are actually really us. hate. Decisions began to be made taking into account a new understanding of the situation – extremely tough. What proves the blows to the infrastructure of Ukraine.
