The price of gas in Prague – Pražská plynárenská: 11% more expensive tariff from the year
Other suppliers are also raising energy prices from next year. It is expected that most households will have prices at the price maximum level. Pražská plynárenská has already started sending information letters and e-mails to its clients due to price adjustments. “Customers do not need to take any action to take advantage of price cappingeverything will happen completely automatically,” the company said.
The firm further stated that continues to monitor the situation on the energy market in detail and solves. “We will, of course, transfer the expected future stabilization within the energy market back to the customers as far as possible,” the company added.
It becomes more expensive in the long term
Pražská plynárenská raised the prices of energy supplies already this year. Most recently, since September, the company has increased prices for the basic tariff by almost 29.8 percent on average. For example, the company also raised prices in June. The reason is rising gas prices on the energy market.
Electricity goes up
For example, ČEZ, E.ON or Pražská energetika have already announced electricity and gas price increases from next year, and other suppliers are also planning to do so. Most of their customers have been paying since January a few hundred crowns extra, capped prices will apply. The changes do not apply to customers with fixed prices.
In October, the government set price limits of CZK 6,000 for one megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity including VAT and CZK 3,000 for one MWh of gas. Distribution fees need to be added to this. Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) stated at the time that the costs of this measure would amount to around 130 billion crowns.
