Agathe Cauet (Miss Nord Pas-de-Calais) “prepared for the worst”, she talks about her 9-kilo tumor
Agathe Cauet is one of the candidates for the Miss France 2023. The 23-year-old was elected Miss Nord Pas de Calais few months ago. Since then, she has been preparing for the national competition. Nurse in Lille, the pretty blonde wanted to confide in an open heart.
It’s for The voice of the North that it opened, shortly after her election as regional miss. Indeed, the beautiful Cambrésienne began by spreading her pride to participate in this contest. She states: “It was not easy to manage my emotion when I saw the eyes of my loved ones! Everyone came to support me : my family and my friends from Cambrai, but also my colleagues from the Saint-Vincent de Paul hospital. Seeing them, I thought to myself that if they believed in me, I had to believe in them too! »
Agathe Cauet could not walk with talons
In his first competition, Miss Nord Pas de Calais even struggled with her outfit! Indeed, she stated: “The first competition, in Saint-Amand, I was super stressed! I didn’t know how to walk with talons. And speaking in public seems complicated to me since I am reserved. So it was a real surpassing of oneself. »
In fact, Agathe Cauet even thinks that the competition is feminist. Indeed, she says: ” Marching on stage, defending your values, speaking in public and assuming your body, yes, it’s feminist! (…) Yes, it’s still a beauty contest. But what we release, what people perceive, is also very important. »
A 9 kg tumor at only 17 years old
The young woman has been working as a hospital nurse for about two years. In fact, she found her calling by going through very difficult trials. Agathe Cauet said: ” I had a borderline tumor of 9 kg at 17 years old, I was in high school. I was hospitalized at Oscar-Lambret. The doctors had prepared me for the worst with, in particular, a possible qualified. »

She was therefore a minor at the time. However, Agathe Cauet received good news. She revealed: “Finally, the operation cured me. But I haven’t forgotten the very human side of the hospital, and I wanted to help in my turn. » In addition, the pretty blonde remembers having started at the Saint-Vincent de Paul hospital, in the Covid unit in 2020.
Miss Nord Pas-de-Calais remembered: ” It was complicated, I was 21 years old. There were quite a few deaths. The Saint-Philibert intensive care unit was saturated, but I was fully into it.
