Nicolas Winding Refn x Netflix in Denmark
There’s a new cowboy in Copenhagen 🤠
Or should we say cowgirl?
In the new miniseries for Nicolas Winding Refn (born in 72), it is a young woman who is at the center. More on the action below!
Copenhagen Cowboy is the first Danish project for Nicolas Winding Refn in a decade and a half 🇩🇰
The director and screenwriter are behind (largely) excellent films such as Drive (2011), The Neon Demon (2016), Only God forgives (2013), Valhalla rises (2009) and Pusherseries (1996, 2004, 2005).
Now he returns home to Denmark and Copenhagen together with Netflix.
– With Copenhagen Cowboy I return to my past to form my future by creating a series, an expansion of my eternally developing alter-egos, now in the form of my young heroine Miu, says the filmmaker about sitting new, Danish-language project.
But Nicolas did not make the film alone; With him on the script he has Sara Isabella Jönsson, Johanne Algren and Mona Masri, while Magnus Nordenhof Jønck is in charge of cinematography.
Copenhagen Cowboy is produced by Lene Børglum and Christina Bostofte Erritzøe.
Copenhagen Cowboy-the heroine Miu is played by Danish Angela Bundalovic (born in 95).
We have previously put her in Limboland and The rain.
The course of action to Copenhagen Cowboy is still quite mysterious, but little do we know about the series.
After serving others all her life, Miu is on the verge of a new beginning. She hunts for justice and revenge in Copenhagen’s criminal underworld, and meets her great nemesis Rakel (played by Lola Corfixen). Together they embark on an odyssey through the natural and supernatural, we are to believe the streamer.
“The past transforms and defines their future, as the two women discover that they are not alone, they are many,” entices Netflix.
In addition to Angela Bundalovic and Lola Corfixen, we see among others Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Zlatko Buric, Jason Hendil-Forssell, LiIi Zhang and Dragana Milutinovic in the noir series for Netflix.
The trailer, which has just arrived, tempts with a digggg electronic soundtrack á la Drive and The Neon Demon ❤️🔥
Take a solid sneak peek below.
