Forged documents, picked up when crossing the state border of the Republic of Moldova
On behalf of two people, border police have initiated investigations for the possession and use of forged documents. A compatriot and a citizen of Azerbaijan are targeted in the documents, the Border Police reports.
At the Tudora border crossing point the 44-year-old Moldovan citizen presented himself at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla car. Among the documents presented at the state border control was the Moldovan driver’s license, which passed the first checks to establish that it was forged. At the hearings, the owner stated that he would have obtained it through legal means, since 1996. Subsequently, the person was allowed to cross the border only as a passenger.
At the Chisinau International Airport border crossing point, the 27-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan was registered in the flow of travelers arriving in Moldova on the “Istanbul-Chisinau” route. During the border control, the person communicated that he intends to go to Ukraine, in this sense, he additionally presented a technical passport, which would be issued by the Ukrainian authorities. As a result of the announced verification of the documents, it was found that it is falsified. In fact, the foreigner was refused entry to Moldova. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
