French Tech Toulouse wants to “impact” a hundred start-ups
French Tech Toulouse is launching its Tech à Impact programme, to support for eight hundred months a start-up that wishes to become more respectful of the environment but also of people.
On the stage of the Village by CA, the speakers follow one another. Using a term for insiders: impact manager, impact investment… It is about the positive impact of companies on the planet and people. La French Tech Toulouse, which federates the local ecosystem of startups, is launching an eight-month program with one hundred volunteers to support them in the process. Code name: Impact Tech. “We questioned the ecosystem to find out what the needs were,” Sandrine Jullien-Rouquié, president of French Tech Toulouse.
Calculate its impact to reduce it
It appears that companies want to be able to calculate their impact, control it and communicate on it. Dependency turnover and fundraising. “There are now a lot of impact investment funds,” explains Julien Chardon, co-founder of Ilek. “These are subjects to be taken head-on, they are now essential, especially for employability”, assures Carole Zisa-Garat, creator of Telegrafik.
Eight months of support
For eight months, two monthly meetings will be offered to participants. Including thematic meetings: the baba of impact, the eco-design of sites (with workshops), the sharing of power and value, virtuous financing. .. There are also ten podcasts each time giving the floor to a company. Not to mention a toolbox on the French Tech site with environmental, social and governance indicators, a map of committed financiers and the appropriate business plan.
“It’s for everyone, even companies that aren’t impact-driven by essence, but want to get involved,” adds Carole Zisa-Garat. The program is free for members of French Tech Toulouse, paying for others, depending on the modules chosen.
