On the ground floor of the house in Prague – Šberov, there is a bathroom with a toilet and a toilet of a larger size of three square meters, which can be used when working in the garden at the same time. In short, so that you don’t have to go to the main house when needed and it’s not so far away. There is also a terrace that the family uses for practicing yoga.

There is a balcony on the first floor, which is accessed via an outdoor staircase. From the balcony is the entrance to the room. We managed to get a kitchen unit, a dining table and a folding floor into less than 15 square meters. The sleeping floor is accessible via the miller’s stairs. Such an open and airy room has a diameter of eight square meters.
“There is an opening door in the railing of the floor for better TV viewing. There is a built-in cupboard under the stairs,” said architect Martin Poldauf from the Prajaga architectural studio.
The year-round habitable house stands on a steel structure. It was built with the two by four system. The paneling is made of larch boards. In the interior, large-scale spruce bio-boards are added. The entire construction of a wooden building using the two by four system is recorded directly on the construction site. This also gave rise to the Czech name – letmá montage, the expert website reported drevostavitel.cz.

Among other things, the advantages of this procedure are considered to be that it is possible to build in this way even in places where heavy equipment is difficult to reach. The possibility of modifications during construction and the fact that the house does not have to be built only on the base plate, but also on foundation passes or piles, are also positive.
On the other hand, it is a more time-consuming construction than in the case of the use of already prepared building components, you cannot build too much in unfavorable weather and you have to find a place to store a considerable amount of building material, which entails the risk of vandalism or theft.
