Jiří Pařízek, former Prague councilor for transport, will lead the DPP’s finances
Transport company hl. m of Prague (DPP) has a new economic director. Jiří Pařízek won the open tender. The former councilor for transport in Prague has been working for the company for over twenty years, most recently in 2015 as head of the Benefits and Employee Care department.

The DPP informed about Pařížek’s selection in a press release. The DPP has been without an economic director since June, when the police arrested Matej Augustín in connection with the Dosimeter case.
23 applicants applied for the selection process, the final was between four applicants. Applicants for the position of economic director had to gradually prepare and present a case study and present their vision for topics that are closely related to the economics of public transport operations such as the preparation of budgets for a company the size of DPP, as well as pass psychodiagnostic tests, a security clearance and a final in-depth interview.

From 2012 to 2015, Jiří Pařízek (born 1959) was a councilor for transport in the capital for TOP 09, at the same time he also headed the committee for transport. In addition, he was a member from August 2011, and from October 4, 2012 to December 9, 2014, also chairman of the Supervisory Board of the DPP. He also connected another part of his career with DPP: from 2015 until now, he worked at DPP as the head of the Benefits and Employee Care department.
Before entering municipal politics, he held the position of economic and personnel deputy of the DPP Bus Division for about 16 years, and before that the position of head of the department of economics and economic administration of the Zemědělské próvenizování a prápej concern. He started his professional career in 1987 in the ČKD Praha group company, where he worked until 1987 as head of the economic information department and then as head of the production accounting office. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management of the University of Economics in Prague.
