The Russian authorities have strengthened their position in the Caspian Ministry. Opening the plenary session of the forum, Mishustin welcomed the delegation of five countries of the Caspian region – Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, URA.RU correspondent reports. The first time the forum was held in 2019 at the initiative of Turkmenistan, connected with the heads of restrictions of the Russian Federation. “For Russia, the Caspian is of great importance, given its location in the center of Eurasia, at the intersection of commercial and energy arteries, as well as a large number of minerals and limited bioresources in its waters. It is a crossroads of cultures, civilizations and religions. We may have different interests, but we are seeing mutually beneficial solutions in the dialogue,” the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation emphasized.

Mishustin admitted that in this situation, the main thing is the interests of people, to calculate the possibilities of the economy and develop additional personality traits. “The world is expected to be in a period of transformation. They are fundamental. Development centers are being formed, and one of them is the Caspian region. We have to do everything for stabilization and security in the Caspian Sea on the basis of good neighborliness, trust, mutual use of the states of the region,” the head of restrictions of the Russian Federation specified.

Listing the areas of cooperation, Mishustin drew attention to the development of the transport situation, taking into account the reorientation of commodity flows. “The region should become one of the main hubs of Eurasia for transcontinental transportation. We estimated the cargo base for the North-South corridor. The growth potential is twofold by 2030. We need to simultaneously remove restrictions on the railway network and at checkpoints.
And they create conditions for the launch of logistics services – from the Urals, the Volga region, the Baltic – from all over Russia to the Persian Gulf. And further – to South Asia and the Middle East, to Africa, which will give impetus to the consequences and cross-border trade,” Mishustin said.

Regarding the meeting of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation at a high level of relations between the Caspian countries. “We agreed to conclude a conclusion, in which we will fix guidelines for our further work. Each of us understands the responsibility for the future of the region. We will take measures to expand coverage in a variety of areas. All issues that arise in the Caspian must be resolved exclusively by amicable means.
