After an even two quarters, Slavia decided in the third act, which they dominated 28:11. Eliška Mircová and Brandy Beaslyová contributed eighteen points to the victory. The women from Prague followed up their win over Strakonice.
Last week, Žabiny did not play in the Hradec team due to illness in the first round and did not give Chomutov a chance in the postponed premiere. In the win, reinforcement Elissa Cunanen was confirmed with 13 points, who also recorded a double-double with 15 rebounds.
Hradec also managed a late start to the season, beating Ostrava 85:65 at home. The East Bohemians, who had only ten losses, pulled 17 body Pamela Effangová. The best scorer of the match was the visiting Adéla Smutná with 18 points.
The replacement date for the match between USK Prague and KP Brno will be determined later. Jakub Eichler from the Czech Basketball Federation told ČTK. Saturday’s USK match against Žabiná Brno should also be postponed.
The representatives of KP Brno described on the club’s website the decision to postpone the match, which was finally made shortly before their departure to Prague today, as scandalous. “The Euroleague team from Prague and the domestic sovereign with a wide youth base could not handle the usual mess and forced a postponement. The Brňanka team lost a game before Sunday’s important match against Slavia, and the week-long training cycle was also disrupted. They are also troubled by injuries to two props, however, they wanted to play and many of them juggled normal work and study responsibilities. Not to mention the unnecessarily spent costs, which representatives of KP Brno will want to compensate,” the club said.
The women from Prague started their attack on the 13th championship title in a row with a 124:45 win on Friday, where they started in the seventh. Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones, who started at the World Championships in Sydney, where they won the gold medal, entered the competition so far without the American supports.
