Stöger in Zurich as heir to Foda in conversation – football
FC Zurich needs a successor for ex-coach Franco Foda. Time is running out. Peter Stöger is a hot candidate.
Former ÖFB team boss Franco Foda looked after FC Zurich, the reigning Swiss football champions, for 18 games. Then the club pulled the ripcord and fired the German. The 56-year-old did not manage a single league win. In the cup, the capital club was knocked out in the second round. There were only partial successes in the European Cup.
Stöger: “Rapid fans have crossed the line”
So Foda responded to being kicked out
Since being kicked out, Zurich has been looking for a respected successor. Time is running out, because interim coach Genesio Colatrella does not have the license to sit on the bench permanently. Specifically, he has to leave the field on October 13th. The wanted coach would therefore have to take over the club in the middle of weeks.
