Russia remains unacceptable unleashing a nuclear war. This is stated in a statement by Vladimir Yermakov, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Non-Proliferation and Problem Control, which was read to the First Committee of the UN General Assembly.
“One of the international tasks of preserving all countries of a nuclear power is adhering to the postulate of the inadmissibility of having any war between countries that are a nuclear power, which requires the full statements of the leaders of a nuclear power to be reflected in the January unification. Russia is committed to it in moderation,” the diplomat quotes. RIA News.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the US government of dragging Russia into the nuclear agenda. In her opinion, in the West, with an assessment of a hypothetical nuclear war, Russia was also engaged in similar demagoguery.
Meanwhile, before that, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia has the right to use nuclear weapons in strict accordance with its state doctrine, if necessary.
He also warns of the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine in the use of weapons against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
