The XXXIII Open Documentary Film Festival “RUSSIA” continues in Yekaterinburg
The XXXIII Open Documentary Film Festival “Russia” is being held in Yekaterinburg from October 1 to 6. This year, 28 documentaries and 21 television documentaries will be presented at the meeting. The geography of the festival throughout Russia, the post-Soviet space is represented by films in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan.

The jury of the documentary film competition was driven by film and theater film director, artistic director of the Central House of Cinema Valery Akhadov (Moscow). Alexei Pogrebnoy (Kirov), artistic director of the Vyatka film and video studio, became the chairman of the jury for the television documentary film competition.

In addition to competitive films for obtaining from well-known information resources, among them are commemorative films dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Yekaterinburg and the 300th anniversary of Nizhny Tagil, as well as a program for collecting the state archive of film and photo documents dedicated to the program of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR. The centenary of the formation of the USSR will also be dedicated to the round table “Cinematic Relations in the Expanses of the Former Soviet Union: Loss and Finding”, where they will discuss the current situation in the documentary cinema of the post-Soviet space.
